- It is powered by **Linea**, an Ethereum layer 2, which ensures transaction efficiency and security.
Currently, the MetaMask Card is in a **pilot phase**, available only to a few thousand users in the **EU and UK**, with plans to expand to other regions later. To sign up for a MetaMask Card, make sure you’re located in the **EU or UK**, then follow these steps:

2. **Verify your email and phone number**, then set up a **password**.
3. Complete the **ID verification** process, which is powered by [Veriff](https://www.veriff.com/supported-countries), following the instructions.
4. Once ID verification is complete, you’re all set, and your MetaMask Card will be ready to use.
